2026 Kings Herald Draft Board: Pick No. 10

Brayden Burries is off the board.
By | 16 Comments | Jun 5, 2026

Mar 28, 2026; San Jose, CA, USA; Arizona Wildcats guard Brayden Burries (5) celebrates in the second half against the Purdue Boilermakers during an Elite Eight game of the West Regional of the men's 2026 NCAA Tournament at SAP Center. Mandatory Credit: Eakin Howard-Imagn Images

With 71% of the vote, Brayden Burries is off the board for the Kings Herald Community Draft Board.  He joins Mikel Brown Jr., Keaton Wagler, Kingston Flemings, Darius Acuff Jr., Darryn Peterson, Caleb Wilson, Cameron Boozer and AJ Dybantsa off the board.

This is the readership’s opportunity to create a democratic draft board which represents the order in which we as a collective would like the Kings’ draft board to look like.  It does not represent the desires of individual writers or fans, but some semblance of the community’s collective thinking.

When a choice comes up, pick who you’d want the Kings to pick given all the players remaining.  Note: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is a draft board, a ranked list of prospects you’d like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we’d take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Scott Perry or anyone else would choose in a slot.

Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick’s choices.  We’ll be doing this every weekday morning over the next few weeks.

Yaxel. He’s older, but I think he has the best overall skill set. If he does well, and the team still stinks, I think he would be easily tradeable to a contending that needs some front court depth.

Maybe add Cameron Carr next?

Though he is a bit old,
At ten Yaxel is gold!

Older player but younger than Keegan, younger than Nique Clifford, older than Maxime Raynaud.

Sheesh. so very Kangz.

I voted for Yaxel Lendeborg. He’s better than Aday Mara or Morez Johnson, Jr. – or so it seems. He is certainly a better fit for the low in talent, poor in development Sacramento group.

Where we once had Shock and Hawes, we could now have Yax and Max.

If the Kings were drafting around the #10 slot, he’d be the guy that would fit nicely between Keegan and Sabonis, or Maxi if that’s your fancy.

Voted Okorie. Let me try to sell this…
He’s not old. He’s a freshman.
A freshman who lead the ACC in scoring, do you know how rare that is?
One of the 3 “true” freshman selected ACC 1st team. The other two? Boozer and Wilson (see Kings Herald Draft Board above).
If you could rerack their respective drafts, where would Brunson be drafted, or Bobby, or Isaiah?
This is the 10th pick so you can go out on a limb, but is it really?
Or is it the obvious hiding in plain sight, like Luka?
His 3 pt shooting? It’s not horrible, and I thought players tend to improve their shooting once they’re in the league (that’s what we told ourselves with Tyreke and Fox, right?).

I think Okorie is in the next grouping of guards after Brown, Acuff, Wagler and Burries.

Its not a knock on him, the others are really good. Okorie seems like a Collin Sexton/Schroder kind of guy, which is a solid player.

Also have to add in positional scarcity in the draft when it comes to bigs/wings after the top 4 are off the board. Okorie will likely go between 13-19, and the team that gets him will be satisfied with his play.

Labaron Philon sure, he’s a Sophomore, but his stat line is just as good as any of the dudes below him along with good size and athleticism.
