I am seeing subtle other improvements… I have been super hard on him so want to recognize things he is doing better. He has improved shooting, not forcing AS much, he is passing a bit, he is getting a little, very little bit better at D…
I’m not. Everyone’s saying this is his best half but I think it might be his worst. He’s legitimately not hustling on the defensive end.
He, Fox, and Holmes are throwing up trash (Right handed airball layup and throwing it off the backboard at 1000 mph) and getting each other’s rebounds, which is only working because they’re so circusy and unpredictable and because the Magic are B-A-D.
Yeah, and I like his hustle.
Cole is outperforming Tyrese in the ROY matchup so far.

Is a slump different than a trend? A slump implies that there used to be a higher standard that’s not being met.

He had a decent game tonight for the minutes he was given.
My thoughts
– Even the Bagley haters must admit there has been improvement in his game. Specifically his body language and effort level has improved resulting in a significant improvement in performance inside the paint. I’m even seeing progress on his defense. Doing a much better job keeping his feet and forcing his defender to the proper side generally the baseline. I remain cautiously optimistic but feeling a lot better about his future.
– With the win tonight the Kings project to win 29 games which is where most basketball analyst including the gaming industry had them.
– I’m really impressed how easily and more consistently Fox is penetrating into the paint.
– Continuing to be massively impressed with Haliburtons maturity level and well roundedness of his game. Got to get him 30-35 minutes a game.
– I have mixed feelings. I love to see the Kings improving and winning games but I hate to see our draft position potentially worsening.
– Rest in Peace Hank Aaron, one of the 5 greatest baseball players of all time.
