If we’re all being honest, Buddy’s play has been the most suspect out of all the Kings.
Hard to argue. The number of airballs he shoots now is astonishing, and the more he pounds the ball into the lane, the more likely that there will be a turnover.

He doesn’t box out. He only looks to out jump his opponent.

Sadly, the Kings could have afforded Christian Wood this past offseason. Amazingly, the Pistons could have easily kept him, but chose to spend on Plumlee and Delon Wright.

This roster needs to be re-oriented at the trade deadline. Give the young guys more burn. Hope for lotto luck and that we are in position for Cade, Mobley or Kuminga by season’s end.

Bagley is terrible imo, his runner his matador defense everything. I understand he hasn’t played a ton but he looks terrible. It’s a different position but Hali has shown his competency for the game unlike Bagley.

Watched most of the first half with my son, a truly depressing experience. With about 1:30 left, he said, let’s turn it off at halftime, which we did.

2 observations from my limited viewing of the game: Was Joerger the only coach who could get anything out of Hield? Isn’t Fox looking like the same Fox we’ve seen the last 2 seasons despite the announcers trying to persuade us to the contrary?

Bagley and Hield can’t play good fundamental basketball. It would be nice if we had a coach like Thibodeau or MALONE or JOERGER. Anyone that would push our young players and define roles. Right now we have a players that are out for their own stats. The problem is they aren’t the best players on the team. Load the roster with team first guys who play solid fundamental basketball. In other words our franchise’s identity from the golden days.
Didn’t Vlade hand Buddy a contract that gives incentives on his personal stats?

Scottie Barnes from Florida State.
A Hybrid SF/PF.
At 6’9″, 227 pounds, he has the body of a 4 or 5, plus the ability to face up and dribble, pass or finish on the move. He leads Florida State in assists (4.3) and steals (1.8) per game, and while it’s usually hyperbole to say a player can guard every position, he legitimately can with his size, length, foot speed and hounding pressure.
