Let’s go!
Harden wasting no time to show us his pathetic ass game with his foul baiting nonsense
Duarte has had a good start. He just needs some shots to fall.
Big pet peeve: Domas trying to Giannis his way to the basket through traffic and then getting blocked or smothered by two or three guys. Seems to happen at least twice a game.
Sure does.
We might be seeing Alex Len soon.
He is still injured.
Ah, thanks.
Think he is out another 4 weeks or so
Grade 2 sprain. Maybe another month. They miss his size. Even with Lyles back who will move into a front line position that will eat at Len and McGee’s mins because he can pass and very well.
Lol Harden. Have some shame
Not sure he’s ever had shame in his career
Good point
Duarte with the Plasticman and-one.
Can we have Lyles at C and Sasha at PF? Get Javale out of there already
You cold hear the slap of Kawhi’s arm on Monk there on camera and yet the refs didn’t call it
Huerter got away with a foul earlier in similar fashion. Refs letting these teams play a bit so far. As long as its consistent, that’s all I ask
Cmon Monk…
Ugh. Definitely feels like a SEGABABA.
Yeah some sloppy play. But Clippers don’t look like a team, just a collection of individual stars. They can be beat, but doing so is another thing entirely…
Sluggish 1st for sure but this old Iso-ball Clippers team is probably one of the better matchups you can ask for on a SEGABABA. Just can’t let the deficit swell too much after having to work that whole 2nd half last night doing just that
As a business decision…could we replace 80% of Monk’s production for 25% of the pay with Bones Hyland? I bet he could be had on the cheap…
I am still combobulated after last evening’s Waterloo.
Has anybody heard of Keegan’s progress?
Ouch! 8 three pointers for the clips to start. We gotta hang in and keep it close.
I wonder how many Slamsons there are.
This one looks a big shorter than usual.
(((ducks)))
Kayte is actually pretty good, seems to have shed “I-know-more-than-you-do” tone.
Playing from behind at the start yet again. Brown’s going to need to use the bench tonight.
Vezenkov quickly becoming a fan favorite.
The mechanics of his shot make me sound stupid sitting alone on my couch…HJP: “oops that looks way short by Sasha”.
Sasha: “Swish”.
His shot has a really high arc, but it’s a pretty shot leaving his hand.
I think a big part of that comes from how he has basically no follow through. The second it leaves his hand, his arms are down.
Two really good observations. It’s a pretty shot. So quick of a release. All wrist as Yakshi notes.
He just seems to flick it. All wrist. Like he’s skipping rocks across a pond or something.
He shoots like a guy that has never shot a basketball before. Every time it goes in it feels like it was pure luck. But it just…always goes in…
I gotta be honest…what has Ty Lue ever done to impress people as a head coach? Winning with Peak LeBron? Is that really the crowning achievement?
Open your eyes ref!
3s are not falling. Legs must be real heavy.
Get to the rim
Amen
Great defense followed up by bricking a bunch of threes on the other end. Live by the three…
4/16 from 3PT. Try getting to the basket a bit here instead of settling
Thank you Fox
Really miss Keegan vs a team like this one
Yeah we get it Kayte….when a player is double teamed someone is open ????
Barnes seems to have lots of reach-in fouls. Little swipes across the arm that seem pointless
Westbrick sighting.
He wishes it was a brick
Davion showed up tonight. He has them fresh legs
Davion has had a couple good games in limited minutes
Westbrook airballs a midrange jumper. Imagine being a fan of this team having to watch this version of Westbrook and Harden. Gotta be miserable
Remember Jordan with the Wizards? I lived in DC then. He had some ugly, ugly nights.
Westbrook isn’t as valuable a contributor to this team as Draymond, but he still provides some support.
Layup line for one of the most unathletic players in the game. Unacceptable.
Domas and Davion account for half of the Kings 3PT made so far tonight. Not ideal!
Those last 2 possessions really highlighted that, sadly
Feels like the Clips offense is just 5 out ISOs with drive and kicks. There is nothing special about it other than individual talent.
Yup. Hard to stop them too.
So are they just going to shoot threes all night?
Back to threes again. Grt to the rim and good things happen
Clips are making shots and the Kings are not. It’s about that simple tonight.
Open 3 after open 3 for the Clips.
Meanwhile Domas can’t make a shot.
I definitely remember he could knock that midrange down consistently last season. As noted frequently, the Duds series seems to have destroyed his confidence there.
Have a feeling Fox and Sabonis are going to ride the bench by the 4th. Why take so many threes when you know damn well your legs are tired?
Rough games for Domas the past 2 nights
This effort is terrible. No energy. No sense of urgency, just going through the motions.
Looks like the crowd didn’t show up either. Probably the quietest game all season. About as loud as those bubble games that didn’t have fans in attendance.
Kinda hard to get excited when all you see are turnovers and 19 missed 3s.
Another 20+ point comeback on back to back nights is probably asking too much. They looked sluggish from the jump and you just hoped they could keep it close until they maybe found their stride, but the last half of the 2nd quarter just cooked them.
Man, when the Kings ain’t with it they REALLY ain’t with it. Bad passes, bad dribbling, bricks, low IQ basketball, etc. They got to stop this habit of starting slow only to have to mount an incredible comeback.
That quickly turned into major suckitude. From down 6 to 22 in no time. There’s the glow of last night I suppose.
Ok we got them just where we want them. Down only by 22 which is progress from last night. Come out and pick up full court and touch the paint on each possession. We got this.
Here’s a fun fact: the Kings take 24 wide open three pointers per game, second most attempts wide open in the league. But they are converting wide open threes at 36% – the fourth worst shooting percentage in the league.
Sigh
How many times is Jones going to mention the Kings were also down by 20-plus last night?
HB is a matador on defense. He can’t stay in front of anybody. Not sure why Duarte got benched to start the 2nd half. Thought he was doing well defensively
Cut to 19!
The double teams on Harden are overcompensating and do nothing to help us. He got so many points in the first half because we lost assignments and left him wide open for catch and shoots.
The Sixth Man is really lacking this game. Spark needs to come from somewhere.
I’m not enjoying Mark Jones tonight. Everybody’s been thinking the Clippers can play like this? Give me a break. We need our own announcer.
Domas struggles against the truly big dudes of the NBA that can’t be bullied by him
Continues to be a bad look for him. They sag off and don’t let him get to his spot under the basket and he has nothing else to make them pay for it
Need to get Sasha more touches. One of the few offensive bright spots and he’s getting left hanging on possession after possession.
Hard to see this one turning out like last night. Kings look gassed.
Is there a universe in which the Kings could trade for Kawhi or PG?
I still can’t believe Jones said people have been waiting for the Clippers to play like this.
Even down 20, I’m not impressed. Some tough shot-making on display from Harden and Kawhi, but no real cohesion as a unit. I’d expect us to beat them soundly next time.
I just had a flashback to that dude who puked courtside a year or two back.
That was Luke Walton’s farewell ceremony.
I’m calling it. Lmk if they win.
Watching a fat, washed Harden blow by HB and Lyles on the perimeter this game is….very sad
Kings played like doo doo so this loss is fitting, but the Clippers shooting the 3 like this would have been tough either way. My takeaway is that a mediocre CLippers team wasted a great 3PT shooting night vs a team that put in a D performance!
I know people wrote it off after the first couple games, but might replacing HB with Vezenkov be up for consideration again? Solid D and great shooting these past few games.
Fox played 40 minutes last night and the Kings are down 23 with 9 minutes left in the 4th. Getting close to that time to probably give Fox the rest of the evening off.
Westbrick is such a clown.
Here we go again!
Folks, this is going to bite me in the ass in about 5 minutes but we might have something.
Unfortunately the Clippers also have something and its name is Ivica Zubac
Is this just a tease? Gonna need to get white hot from 3PT from here on out
Keep playing those strings. The music never stopped.
Can we get PG on that flop?
Why are they trapping Harden in the year 2023? Just leads to a wide open Kawhi 3 and then an easy dunk on the next possession
If Brown wants defense yah better make some trades.
It’s not happening but I will continue to imagine a world where the Kings acquire Caruso for their backup PG spot and OG Anunoby to replace HB.
This has been a Fox masterclass. Sucks to see it go to waste
Harden travels right in front of the ref and no call. Kings needed to step it up a long time ago.
Domas has been out of gas for two days now.
Can someone please explain to me why the offense has to not be as good as last season to have a better defensive team? Why do the Kings have to trade lesser quality on offense to have better defense?
Brown doesn’t seem to realize that defense for use is more of a personnel issue than a scheme one.
True. I watched Barnes tonight-yikes-does not move his feet. Sabs/Huerter/Monk-meh. Keegs is becoming more important by the minute.
I think Brown knows that it’s a roster construction issue, he’s just not gonna outright say that to the media or throw guys under the bus publicly.
Whatever Jones. Get outta here.
Where is the Sabonis High post (or low) ball movement O?
And where the F is Sabonis? He can’t be this unagressive/lacks 2 games in a row. Wonder if somethings up.
Sabonis = the concern going forward is that the questions about him are real and remain? (as far as winning in playoffs etc)
