Chris Watkins, of Sactown Sports 1140 and the Return of the Roar podcast, joins the show to talk more about what we saw in preseason game one and our takeaways from the following few days of practice.
Chris and I rewatched the first preseason game and gave our updated thoughts on Matthew Dellavedova, Keegan Murray, Richaun Holmes, KZ Okpala and more.
The next two days of practice featured a lot of positional talk including Coach Mike Brown saying that he thinks Keegan Murray can play the two, three, and the four.

Don’t overreact too much to that statement, but we dive into what we think he may have meant by that. Also, Murray gave his thoughts on his positional versatility, comfort in each spot, and more in a clip that we included in the episode.
Clips from Trey Lyles and Coach Brown were also included that led into a discussion about learning the new offensive and defensive schemes that are being implemented this season.
We also touched on what we want to see going into preseason game two against the Portland Trail Blazers. What players do we think could be out of the rotation for that one and who do we want to see more of? Chima Moneke!!
We closed out the episode talking about some Draymond Green and Maverick Carter’s comments on the Kings from the latest episode of The Shop. I initially wasn’t planning on talking about it but Kings Twitter seemed to really make something of it, so here we are.
We closed the episode taking some questions from the live stream chat that led us to talking about Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, Steeve Ho You Fat and more.
The Kings Pulse podcast is available on all major listening platforms and also in video form on YouTube!
I enjoyed the episode and in light of a second 30 point Pre-Season win, I am looking forward to your next in depth analysis.
Thanks for another good show. It led me to check out the Wembanyama vs. Henderson games, and . . . good lord.
