The Sacramento Kings officially announced the full details of Mike Brown’s coaching staff today. Most of the names had already leaked so there aren’t any big surprises, but we did get clarification on a few roles. Most notably, Lindsey Harding is being retained from Luke Walton’s staff, and will remain as an assistant coach and player development coach. Doug Christie will also be retained, as was previously reported.
The announcement included a statement from Mike Brown:
“We have assembled a diverse and talented group of coaches with unique experiences who will positively impact our players’ individual development,” said Head Coach Mike Brown. “Collectively, they all embrace the core values that will be critical to our overall team success. I couldn’t be more excited to work with them.”
The full staff is as follows:
Jordi Fernandez has been named associate head coach. Jay Triano, Doug Christie, Luke Loucks and Leandro Barbosa will serve as assistant coaches. Dutch Gaitley will serve as an assistant coach and director of player development, and Lindsey Harding will be an assistant coach and player development coach. Additionally, Deividas Dulkys will serve as a player development coach, Robbie Lemons as senior director of coaching analytics and strategy, Charles Allen as head video coordinator/special assistant to the Head Coach and Garrius Adams as assistant video coordinator.
I’m glad that Lindsey is staying, too. You don’t hear a ton about assistant coaches, bur what little I’ve heard has been very positive.
Miss seeing Bobby Jackson in there but glad he’s coaching Stockton. I need to make it down there to see Keon & co.
No Rico Hines? Thought he’d be a good dude to have around
He went to the Raptors. He was the guy I was saddest to see go, but Brown definitely built a staff of good coaches with good experience.
Rico was respected and liked and a good coach. Not sure why he left- better offer? just plain time to go?
Doug might be a good coach some day but he was a legacy choice from the FO. Harding is a good coach.
Not sure if there is a specific defense coach.
His name is Mike Brown, I believe.
Who is Robbie Lemons? Had not heard of him before, but he is listed as Director of Player Personnel online, and now announced as senior director of coaching analytics and strategy? Sounds like an important job, even if previous Kings coaches have not seemed to use it properly. Only 30 years old, born in Carmichael, went to Stanford… sounds like a story.
Previous coaches couldn’t seem to develop a taste for what Lemons had to offer…
on Kings staff for 6 years already. Played at Stanford.
I sure hope the staff works out
Too many leftovers.
