NBA Draft speculation is rampant as the draft is now just five days away. Sam Amick of USA Today was recently on NBATV and discussed the Sacramento Kings in depth.

Around here there here are few reporters we trust more than Amick. He doesn’t insert personal agendas, he calls it like he sees it, and his years at the Sacramento Bee make him more aware and connected with the Kings than your average national reporter.

With that context, Prophecy Trusters will be dismayed to hear that Sam believes the Kings are smitten with Michael Porter Jr. Sam includes the caveat that it’s smokescreen season, but that the Kings seem to want Porter as long as they can find a medical professional to “give them a green light.”

Amick also believes that if the medicals don’t turn out ok with Porter, Marvin Bagley III would likely be the Kings’ choice.
