Vlade Divac Attends Roc Nation Pro Day In L.A.

Rudy Gay was also in attendance.

In the spirit of charting every move the Kings make up until the draft, Draft Express’ Jonthan Givony reported yesterday that Vlade Divac was in attendance for Roc Nation’s pro day in L.A. For those unfamiliar with Roc Nation, you may recognize it a little better as Jay Z’s sports agency, among other things.

As far as I can tell, the only current 2017 NBA Draft prospects signed to Roc Nation are Florida State’s Dwayne Bacon, and Villanova's Josh Hart. We have video proof that Divac watched those players work out, courtesy of Draft Express.

Draft Express ranks Dwayne Bacon as the 58th best prospect in the draft, and Josh Hart as the 50th best prospect in the draft, so assuming no other prospects were in attendance, this probably doubled as a second round / Reno scouting trip, and a catch-up session with Rudy Gay.

According to Swarm Sting, the NBA players currently represented by Roc Nation are Kevin Durant, Caris LeVert, Henry Ellenson, James Young, Jeremy Lin, Justise Winslow, Mike Gbinije, Rudy Gay, Ty Lawson and Willie Cauley-Stein, so keep that nugget in the back of your head as we approach free agency. Vlade Divac had a couple of different reasons to be there yesterday.
