The ‘All-Time’ Sacramento Kings Roster For ‘NBA 2K18’ Has Been Revealed

Did NBA 2K18 get it right?

For those of you completely unfamiliar with NBA 2K, it’s the most-popular-by-a-long-shot basketball video game going these days. This years installment, NBA 2K18, is set to release on September 19th, and one of the new features they’ve been promoting all summer is the inclusion of ‘All-Time’ teams. They are exactly what they sound like, a team comprised of the best players in each franchises history.

The developers behind NBA 2K18 released all of the rosters today, including the Sacramento Kings All-Time team. Take a look:

I’m not going to get too bent out of shape over a video game roster, but this isn’t what my list would look like. For starters, I’d have kept it Sacramento-era only for my own personal amusement, but I can understand why they want to get the likes of Oscar Robertson and Jerry Lucas in there somewhere.

I have no idea if they’re going to include an all-time coach or coaching staff, but obviously that honor should go to Rick Adelman. It’s worth noting that NBA 2K18 will also feature the 01-02 Sacramento Kings, so while I’d argue for guys like Bobby Jackson, or Hedo Turkoglu to potentially find a spot on the All-Time team, I can’t complain too much. At least they’ll be in there somewhere.

Brad Miller, on the other hand, isn’t going to appear on either squad, and I kind of feel bad about that, but alas, it’s just a game. And if we’re going modern-era small forwards, how does Rudy Gay take a spot over Ron Artest? And what about Kevin Martin? Beno Udrih? Jon Brockman? Francisco Garcia? Corliss Williamson? Jason Thompson? Donte Greene? Omri Casspi? DARNELL JACKSON?! Ok, now I’m just naming everyone I like.

What do you think? Did NBA 2K make any glaring mistakes?
