Sexual Assault Lawsuit against Luke Walton dropped

By | 0 Comments | Dec 5, 2019

Per a TMZ report that has since been confirmed by local media, Kelli Tenant has withdrawn her sexual assault lawsuit against Sacramento Kings coach Luke Walton.

Tenant filed the lawsuit back in April, shortly after Walton was announced as the new Kings coach. In the lawsuit, Tenant alleged that Walton assaulted her in a hotel room in 2017. The Kings and NBA launched a joint investigation into the allegations shortly after and concluded in their report several months later that there was “not a sufficient basis” to support the allegations. Tenant herself did not participate in the NBA’s investigation.

It is unclear if Walton and Tenant settled out of court or not but in dropping the lawsuit, Tenant has asked the judge for it to be “dismissed with prejudice”, which means it cannot be refiled.
