Mason didn’t play in the California Classic but will still be on the Las Vegas summer league roster and will now have a chance to try to impress another team.
The Kings had four point guards on the roster in De’Aaron Fox, Cory Joseph, Yogi Ferrell and Frank Mason, so it didn’t make sense to enter the season with four point guards.
Mason’s $1,620,564 salary for the upcoming season wasn’t fully guaranteed until October 15th, so the Kings now save that money.
Through his first two seasons, Mason averaged 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 39.2 percent shooting and 30 percent from deep.
@SacramentoKings thanks for allowing my dreams to come true. It was truly a blessing to be apart of the organization. Excellent group of guys in the front office and a special coaching staff you guys bought along. Amazing training staff and strength & Conditioning Coach.
