Brewer is an 11-year NBA veteran small forward who plays fast and is a pesky defender. He fills a need providing added wing depth for the bench.
It’s interesting that he’s being signed to a 10-day contract as opposed to a contract for the rest of the season. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s intended to provide depth while still maintaining flexibility in case a more appealing option becomes available on the buyout market.
In the meantime, Brewer is a great fit, adds depth to the roster, and is another veteran with playoff experience. Brewer is also a good locker room presence and is well-liked around the league.
