Sacramento's five game road trip ended on a sour note as the Spurs built up a considerable lead early and never looked back. San Antonio had a very balanced and efficient scoring output, with eight Spurs in double digits. Two more had 9 points, including Manu Ginobili, who also added a career-high 15 assists.

In one bright spot for Sacramento, Marcus Thornton had another good game off the bench, at least offensively. Thornton finished with 25 points on just 13 shots, as well as a team-high 5 assists. Isaiah Thomas and Tyreke Evans were the only other Kings to finish in double figures with 18 and 10 points respectively. Evans hit a crazy 75 foot three at the halftime buzzer that eerily resembled his game-winning heave against Memphis two years ago.

The Kings now return home on Sunday with 22 games left in the season. The Kings are tied for the 5th worst record in the league and for last in the Western Conference. 13 of the remaining 22 games are left at home, and Sacramento would have to go 10-12 down the stretch to reach 30 wins for the first time since 2007-08. I don't care about the draft or lottery positioning. There is too much uncertainty in Sacramento's future to worry about that. I'd like to see this team play some good basketball down the stretch, and give this fanbase some real hope for the future should they stay.
