Harrison Barnes, De’Aaron Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Richaun Holmes are joining forces to donate over 1,000 meals from local restaurants to families and children in their community that have been affected by the coronavirus, the Sacramento Kings announced in a news release on Wednesday:
According to the Kings’ release, it was Holmes’ idea to donate the community in Sacramento. Holmes signed with the Kings just last summer, but he’s built a bond with the community in that brief time, and he wanted to do something meaningful for them. With the support of his teammates, he was able to do that:
In addition to the Kings’ release, they posted a video where Holmes and Barnes extended their support to the community. Fox and Bogdanovic also contributed quotes to the video.

It’s been said before but it bears repeating: the Kings and their players have been incredible with the work they’ve done since this pandemic first started affecting their community in Sacramento and their native communities in places like Serbia. Their efforts shouldn’t go unnoticed.
