In honor of Women’s History Month, the Toronto Raptors are hosting the first all-female broadcast in NBA history tonight when the team hosts the Denver Nuggets.

Tonight, the Toronto Raptors will have the first all-female broadcast team in NBA history, with a woman in every on-air role.

Today, the Kings announced that they will be joining the party. On Saturday March 27 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Sacramento coverage team will feature exclusively women and non-binary broadcasters for the first time in the franchise’s history.

Krista Blunk, who does play-by-play for the Pac-12 and was previously an analyst for the Sacramento Monarchs, will be calling the game. Kayte Hunter will be transitioning from sideline to booth as the analyst, as she most recently had to do against the Detroit Pistons when Mark Jones and Doug Christie’s feed wasn’t working for the first quarter.

NBC Sports California host Laura Britt and Cal Berkeley legend Layshia Clarendon, who currently plays for the New York Liberty, will be in the studio for pregame and postgame, and Morgan Ragan — who does commentary for the Stockton Kings — will be running the NBC Sports team Twitter account.

If you find yourself missing Jones during the broadcast, fear not. His daughter Sophia, who is a freshman basketball player for San Jose State, will also be joining the pregame coverage.

This is a really exciting idea for team coverage. Kudos to the Raptors for getting the ball rolling and to the Kings for jumping on board to celebrate women and non-binary individuals within the organization and the overall NBC Sports family. Hopefully the game lives up to the occasion.
