It was a very busy weekend for the NBA, and with all the movement it’s no surprise if you missed a name or two. Of the players the Kings have been connected to, several have already been signed.
Paul Millsap signed a three year deal for $90 million with the Denver Nuggets, joining a Western Conference that’s becoming even more stacked. Andre Iguodala re-signed with the Warriors for three years and $48 million. Sam Amick reported that Sacramento’s offer was for a similar annual rate but for only two years. P.J. Tucker joined the Houston Rockets on a four year, $32 million deal.
The only player we know the Kings have offered a deal to so far has been Wizards forward Otto Porter, but he is still meeting with a couple other teams before he decides which max offer sheet to sign. All indications still point to the Wizards matching any deal.
The Kings have also met with veterans Zach Randolph and Patrick Patterson. Vince Carter is coming in for a visit on Monday. Sacramento has also been connected to Bojan Bogdanovic, Jonathon Simmons, Dion Waiters, and Rudy Gay. The Kings had been connected to Danilo Gallinari but Sam Amick reported that the Kings were out of that race and he looks like he could join the Clippers. Of Sacramento’s own free agents, Langston Galloway signed a three year, $21 million deal with Detroit and Ben McLemore signed a two year, $10 million deal with Memphis.
The best available unsigned free agents not mentioned above include George Hill, Derrick Rose, Darren Collison, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Tim Hardaway Jr., C.J. Miles, Andre Roberson, Tyreke Evans, James Johnson, Nikola Mirotic, Michael Beasley, Ersan Ilyasova, Jeff Green, Kelly Olynyk and Dewayne Dedmon.
You can keep track of every deal as it happens here. With the moratorium lifting on Thursday, we should continue to see a flurry of action throughout the week.
