While no official word has come out of Sacramento regarding any visits or workouts, it does appear that the Kings have brought in Kentucky PG De’Aaron Fox for a visit. Fox himself outed his location on his Instagram yesterday, showing pictures of himself in Sacramento and on the court at either the practice facility or Golden 1 Center.
Fox is a fan favorite among Kings fans for the 5th pick, with only Markelle Fultz and Josh Jackson rating higher on Sactown Royalty’s Draft Board (as voted on by fans). The Kings desperately need a PG of the future and Fox is one of the best prospects at the position. Whether or not he lasts to the 5th pick is another matter however, as reports since the lottery have put his range anywhere from 2nd to 5th.
It’s unclear whether or not Fox will actually be working out for the Kings or, like many prospects projected to go in the early lottery, he’s just visiting, but whatever the case it’s nice to see such a high profile prospect both in Sacramento and potentially excited about being picked by the Kings.
UPDATE:
Sean Cunningham had some more confirmation late last night and this morning.
After being in Oakland at the #NBAFinals, De'Aaron Fox is in Sacramento to meet with Kings. Got a late night workout at team facility
