MRI on Kings rookie Georgios Papagiannis shows no structural damage

By | 0 Comments | Mar 6, 2019

In good news for Kings fans, the MRI on Georgios Papagiannis' left knee came back negative showing no structural damage. Papagiannis had the MRI as a precaution after experiencing what the team called "left knee stiffness" throughout the week. Per the Kings, Papagiannis remains questionable for tomorrow's Summer League game against the Houston Rockets.

It's unfortunate that we might not get to see as much of Big Papa in Summer League as we had hoped, especially since most of us know so little about him and have never seen him play. Still, the worst thing that could possibly come from Summer League is an injury so precaution is warranted.

Rookie Isaiah Cousins also sat out of Friday's Summer League opener with a groin strain and the Kings dearly missed his ballhandling and playmaking as they struggled to get anything going against the Raptors squad. Sacramento's 47 points tied for the lowest in Summer League history, joining Team China's performance in 2008.
