Kings and Warriors games are always fun, and tonight was no different. Isaiah Thomas had another big game, scoring 31 points and leading the charge during the third quarter when Sacramento took control. Thomas scored 17 points in that critical third quarter, thanks to a barrage of threes. He finished 7-12 from downtown and 10-18 overall, to go with 7 assists and 3 rebounds. After the game, Isaiah got some respect from Jerry "The Logo" West himself, which was cool to see.

DeMarcus Cousins was the next highest scorer for the Kings with 14 points and 6 rebounds, but he played just 23 and a half minutes due to both foul trouble and matchups. Cousins had 5 of Sacramento's 15 turnovers. In Cousins' stead, Patrick Patterson saw a nice amount of playing time and although his stats weren't the best (6 points on 8 shots, 9 rebounds, 2 assists), he provided good energy and solid spacing. Chuck Hayes played 23 minutes and scored 6 points with 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

Tyreke Evans was questionable to play due to a stomach ailment but he played through it. He had a rough shooting night, just 4-12, but finished with 12 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds. Marcus Thornton also had trouble finding his range, scoring 13 points on 6-13 shooting but going just 1-7 from three.

The Warriors normally sharpshooting backcourt duo of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry really had trouble scoring against the Kings defense tonight. Curry played almost the entire game at 45 and a half minutes and shot just 5-18, with a couple of those baskets being harmless layups as the game winded down. He did however finished with 12 assists and just 3 turnovers, while picking up 4 steals.

Klay Thompson just had an awful night. It wasn't even so much the Kings defense as he just couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Despite many open looks, Thompson shot just 1-13. He also had trouble on the other end of the court, picking up 5 fouls.

Most of Golden State's damage came from their big man rotation of Andrew Bogut, David Lee and Carl Landry. Bogut scored 12 points but more importantly had 9 boards and 4 blocks, preventing some of Sacramento's inside game. David Lee and Carl Landry could not be stopped on the inside, combing for 36 points on a supremely efficient 17-22 shooting, along with 17 rebounds. Lee did have the blemish of finishing with 6 turnovers however.

Jarrett Jack was the Warriors most effective guard, scoring 16 points off the bench and dishing out 7 assists to no turnovers.

Sacramento won despite poor free throw shooting and some terrible execution down the stretch. The Kings were just 12-21 from the line, a mark of 57.1%. Also, despite holding an 8 point lead with 32 seconds left, Sacramento still almost managed to screw it up. Smartly, they let Curry get to the basket for a quick layup rather than give up a three. However, on the inbounds play after that basket, Patrick Patterson got the ball and instead of holding onto it and waiting to get fouled, he threw it back to his guard, which was easily intercepted by Curry for the layup and the four point game. Fortunately, the Kings hit 5 of their next 6 free throws to hold on.

There were quite a few Sacramento fans in attendance and chants of "Sac-Ra-Men-To" could clearly be heard through the telecast near the end of the game. Prospective Kings owners Vivek Ranadivé and Mark Mastrov were not in attendance for the game due to prior obligations.

The win gives the Kings the season series against the Warriors, which almost was a sweep had Klay Thompson not hit a game winner a couple weeks ago the last time these two teams met up. The win also gives Sacramento their 26th of the year, their highest win total since the 2007-08 season when the team finished 38-44. Of course, last year's lockout shortened season would've translated into approximately 27 wins over an 82 game year.
