Sacramento Kings 115, Denver Nuggets 106: Shorthanded Kings complete season sweep of Nuggets

The Kings come back and win a game they had no right winning.

Wait. What?

The Nuggets are a team full of talented but inexperienced players. The Kings dismantled them without four players who average a combined 60+ points per game. And yet the Nuggets are one win ahead of the Kings in the standings.

Speaking of the standings, the weirdness continues with our reaction to this game. A win is a win and we'll always celebrate that. But this looked liked a schedule loss, meant to be assured by resting key players. Make no mistake, the Kings don't want to climb the standings over the next two weeks. I'm always going to be happy for wins, but wouldn't it just be the most Kings thing ever to turn it on this late in the season and lose their draft pick?

One final note: The Kings are now, just now, mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. It's April. So weird.
