The Sacramento Kings are back home after their successful four-game road trip to host the Boston Celtics.
The Kings are 4-1 over their previous five outings as they climb back into playoff contention. Sacramento is coming off a 118-109 win over the New Orleans Pelicans that was punctuated by De’Aaron Fox’s dominant fourth quarter.
Fox scored 17 consecutive points over the final seven minutes and finished the game with 38 points and 12 dimes to lead the Kings to the victory.
Sacramento’s defense has been much improved during their recent stretch. The team is only giving up 107.8 points per game to opponents over their last five, 11.4 points less than their season average.
Veteran Harrison Barnes has also been a big reason why the Kings are on their current hot-streak. The 28-year-old is averaging 20.6 points per outing during this five-game stretch.
The Celtics got back on track after losing five out of their last seven by beating the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. Boston struggled after dealing with injuries and several absences due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
