One of the earliest sentiments after Sacramento’s exciting NBA Draft in which they drafted four new rookies to go along with the four they had last season was “I can’t wait for Summer League”.
Fans are right to be excited, as Sacramento will be bringing 17 players to Summer League, eight of which are expected to be on the opening night roster. The full roster is as follows:
I don't know who Scootie Randall is but what a name. Dominique Hawkins played with Fox last season and Skal the season before that at Kentucky. Eric Stuteville is a Sacramento State product, and Reggie Hearn and Luis Montero played for the Reno Bighorns last year. JaKarr Sampson is the only other player aside from our own with NBA experience, having played for the Rockets and Nuggets.
Kings assistant coach Jason March will be coaching the Summer League team which starts next Friday, July 7th. The Kings currently have three games scheduled before teams are seeded and the tournament begins. The current schedule is as follows (all times Pacific):
It should be a fun time, and if you’re going, please share your experiences and thoughts in the FanPosts!
