We don’t know when the NBA will return from the coronavirus shutdown, but we do know the league will eventually hold the draft at some point.

When or if the league continues the 2019-2020 season, the Kings have 18 games left on the schedule and sit 3.5 games behind the Memphis Grizzlies for a playoff sport.

Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon released his latest mock draft using the current standings and has the Kings picking No. 12

Kenyon’s pick for the Kings is Kentucky shooting guard Tyrese Maxey.

The freshman is averaging 14 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. NBADraft.net has an in-depth scouting report on him.

Personally, I think the Kings backcourt is set for years to come with Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox, so unless Vlade Divac and company are looking for guard depth, this pick doesn’t make a ton of sense.

Who would you like to see the Kings target in the draft if they miss out on the playoffs?
