Spencer Hawes and Andres Nocioni traded to Philadelphia for Samuel Dalembert. Chad Ford of ESPN reporting it. More soon.
UPDATE 1: We've written about how Samuel Dalembert could help in the past.
UPDATE 2: Here are the salary ramifications: Hawes makes $2.9 million this season, and then he's a restricted free agent with a $4 million qualifying offer. Nocioni makes $6.8 million this year and $6.6 million 2011-12. Dalembert makes $14.8 million this season (thanks to a 15% trade kicker), and then he's a free agent. So the Kings take on an extra $5.1 million in 2010-11 in order to save $6.6 million in the 2011-12 season. The Kings are now projected to have about $15 million in cap space for this summer.
UPDATE 3: I believe that we can definitely take two things away from this, neither of which really matters going forward:
1. Either Geoff Petrie or Paul Westphal or both were really disappointed by Hawes last season.
2. Petrie gets a bogey on the 2007 draft.
UPDATE 4: FanHouse's Sam Amick talked to Dalembert's agent Marc Cornstein: "I’ve said for a long time that if I could hand pick a team, (the Kings) would be the best fit for him."
