Mexico City just won't go away.

The official NBA press release claims that Rondo directed a "derogatory and offensive term" towards the official and also did not leave the court in a timely manner upon being ejected. That may very well be the case, but it's a bit surprising that it took the league this long to levy a punishment on Rondo. It's been over a week since this happened and the Kings have played four games since then. The NBA definitely knew what Rondo said and did soon after that game ended, and you would hope that in the future a punishment would come in a more timely fashion.
