It's unknown what type of contract would be needed to sign Rondo, but given the dearth of quality PGs in this year's Free Agent market, I would expect him to get a longer term deal that would probably more than double his annual salary of $9.5 million that he signed last year with Sacramento.
Rondo averaged 11.9 points, 11.9 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2 steals a game in 35.2 minutes a game last year for the Kings. He also shot a career-best 36.5% from three point range. Defensively he was a mess, as were the Kings. He's definitely still got a ton of talent, and they're may not be a better passer in the entire NBA. But is what he brings to the table enough for Sacramento to invest in him for the long term? I'm not sure I want to find out.
