Personally I'm okay with it although I would have drafted Noah Vonleh. I had Stauskas rated as the top SG in the draft (I didn't include Exum in my analysis because of the lack of stats and film) but behind Embiid, Parker, Wiggins, Randle, Vonleh, Gordon and Smart overall. Of those guys, I only considered Vonleh, Randle and Gordon as realistic possibilities at 8, with Gordon and Smart being the only two guys that I would have really been excited about.

The way I see it Stauskas fills a position of need and role of need in providing the Kings with an excellent shooter and prospect at the SG position, even with Ben McLemore already on board. We know the Kings didn't really want to wait on a project, and Stauskas is more ready to play now than a guy like Vonleh or Elfrid Payton would have been.
