The NBA is back! The Sacramento Kings won’t tip off until Wednesday night, but the league kicks off the new season tonight. We’ve got just two games on the slate, but they should both be pretty good games.
Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers
5 PM PT
TNT
Kyrie Irving leads the Celtics against his old team, what an amazing way to kick off the new year after a summer of drama around Kyrie and LeBron James. We also get to see Dwyane Wade reunited with LeBron, Gordon Hayward as a Celtic, and plenty of other old faces in new places.
Houston Rockets at Golden State Warriors
7:30 PM PT
TNT
Another great matchup. The reigning champs and unstoppable juggernaut Warriors against the team that arguable did the most to challenge them this summer. The Rockets added Chris Paul, and solid bench defenders like PJ Tucker and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. Meanwhile the Warriors added our beloved Omri Casspi and the hilarious Nick Young.
Worth noting, the Rockets have a back to back and will play again tomorrow night against the Kings.
