NBA Draft: Kings turn down offer from Lakers for #2 pick

The Kings stayed put, was it the right move?

The Sacramento Kings turned down an offer from the Los Angeles Lakers that would have given the Kings the second overall pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, according to a report from David Aldridge. The Kings would have given up the 5th and 10th picks.

Earlier today the Lakers traded away D’Angelo Russell to the Brooklyn Nets, which led many to assume the Lakers would select Lonzo Ball.

Personally, I’m thrilled the Kings passed on this deal. In a deep draft I’d rather have two shots at a great player, and I’m content to take whoever falls to 5.

What do you think? Did the Kings make the right call?
