Marcus Thornton to Miss Bucks Game for Personal Reasons

By | 0 Comments | Feb 22, 2019

Already without DeMarcus Cousins due to suspension, the Kings will miss another key piece tonight against the Bucks as it was announced that Marcus Thornton will miss the game for personal reasons. StR user Black&Purple4Ever mentioned in an earlier thread that Thornton had posted on his Instagram account that he had gone back home to be with his mother, who is in poor health.

Best wishes to Marcus Thornton and his family.

Tyreke Evans is also a game-time decision tonight. Evans has missed four of the last five games with a sore left knee but was able to practice 5-on-5 yesterday per Kings beat writer Jason Jones.

Thornton's absence will also likely mean more time for Kings guards Isaiah Thomas and Jimmer Fredette. Fredette especially seems to fill the Thornton niche as scorer off the bench. Francisco Garcia will also likely continue to see playing time thanks to his strong play, even if Tyreke Evans is able to return to action.
