The Sacramento Kings will host the third annual California Classic Summer League next month. The Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat will join the Kings for the two-day event, which will run August 3-4.
The four teams will be comprised of rookies, sophomores and players vying for an NBA or G League roster spot. The Kings hold the No. 9 pick in this year’s draft, and if they keep the selection, we will likely get our first look at the prospect.
There will be two double-headers on back-to-back days, and the Kings announced the Golden 1 Center will be open at full capacity.
“We are excited to once again host fans in full capacity for the California Classic at Golden 1 Center,” said Sacramento Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé via a press release. “In addition to the high energy games we have come to expect from the Classic, fans will enjoy world-class entertainment and community activations.”
This will be the third time the Kings are hosting the California Classic Summer League. Last year’s event was canceled due to the pandemic. Season ticket holders will get early access to tickets for the event on July 8. Non-season ticket holders will be able to purchase two-day passes on July 12, while single-day passes will be available beginning July 20.
