Kings vs. Nets preview and game thread

Sacramento will try to end its three-game losing streak.

Coming off a 124-110 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Valentine’s Day, the Sacramento Kings are right back at it when they host the Brooklyn Nets.

The Kings will get a bit of a break with Kevin Durant scheduled to sit this one. The former league MVP strained his hamstring in Brooklyn’s win over the Golden State Warriors and will miss at least two games.

Sacramento has lost three in a row after going on a run that saw it win seven out of eight games. The Kings will need to be better defensively against the Nets, who are the highest-scoring team in the NBA at 120.9 points per game.

De’Aaron Fox sat out the entire fourth quarter in the loss to Memphis. The point guard has been dealing with some knee issues, leading to head coach Luke Walton electing to rest him over the final 12 minutes.

As good as Brooklyn has been on the offensive end, it also gives up the third-most points in the league. The Nets are 28th while the Kings are 29th in points allowed per game, so it should be a high-scoring affair.
