Kings vs. Nets: Nothing but gravy

The Kings have won two straight games on the road. The trip has one more game, and a victory would be pure gravy.

Honestly, this is gravy. The Kings have won two straight on the road after losing a winnable game in Detroit. The Friday win over hot Toronto was dominant: there was actual garbage time. DeMarcus Cousins was a monster, with 31 points and 20 rebounds, and Jason Thompson continued his strong recent offensive play. The worst the Kings can do on the trip is 2-2 with a loss to Brooklyn; that 2-2 far exceeds reasonable expectations for a team that entered the trip 1-12 on the road this season.

But a win sure would be nice, and the Nets are vulnerable. The Nets needed two overtimes and a Joe Johnson game-winner to knock off the mighty Wizards on Friday. They are 4-1 since P.J. Carlesimo took over, but the wins have been over the Thunder (wow!), the Bobcats (oh), the Cavs (um) and the 'Zards (aha). Not exactly a murderer's row.

Deron Williams has struggled, and he's not been good on defense, so watch for Isaiah Thomas to drive hard. Cousins vs. Brook Lopez should be a fun match-up to watch, as well, especially if Boogie plays as he has lately.

Fan predictions will be along soon, a game thread at 4:30 and recaps after the game.
