After having back-to-back games against the Memphis Grizzlies postponed, the Sacramento Kings are set to play their first of four consecutive road games Wednesday when they take on the Orlando Magic.

The Kings haven’t played since Jan. 22 when they beat the New York Knicks 103-94. Sacramento’s defense had struggled mightily during a four-game losing skid before the win over New York when the Kings gave up the fewest points all season.

Veteran forward Harrison Barnes struggled during the team’s skid averaging just 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists after starting the season hot. The veteran bounced back in a big way, putting up 21 points, eight boards and seven dimes against the Knicks.

De’Aaron Fox was also sharp last time out, leading the way with 21 points and seven assists. Sacramento could benefit from the postponement of the Memphis games. The team had played eight times in 12 nights. The Kings should be the fresher of the two teams, with the Magic playing their third game in four days.

Orlando has struggled since starting the season 4-0, winning just four out of its last 14 outings. The Magic’s offense has fallen off a cliff over the past month. They are averaging 105.5 points per game, third-fewest in the NBA. Much like New York, Orlando isn’t a good outside shooting team, connecting on 34.8 percent of its 3-point attempts.

One area the Kings need to focus on is rebounding. Led by Nikola Vucevic and Khem Birch, the Magic lead the NBA in offensive rebounding, while Sacramento sits fourth-worst on the defensive glass. Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley III will have their hands full in this one. Vucevic leads Orlando in scoring (23.5) and rebounding (11.1). The good news is that center Hassan Whiteside said he should be able to play.
