The time is now. If the Kings want to continue believing that they are a contender for the playoffs, and if the Kings want fans to believe the same, they need to win this game. After a disappointing loss in Oklahoma City, there’s no time to dwell on mistakes. The Kings still have a chance, and beating the Grizzlies would be a huge boost towards the goal of making the playoffs. The Kings need to hurdle the Spurs, Pelicans, Blazers, and Grizzlies to make the playoffs. It’s a long shot, but the teams are tightly bunched and the Kings could do it, but they need to win tonight.
Let’s talk Kings basketball.
When: Friday, February 28th, 5:00 PST
Where: FedExForum, Memphis TN
TV: NBCSCA
Radio: KHTK Sports 1140 AM
For Your Consideration
The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Jaren Jackson Jr., Justise Winslow, Brandon Clarke, and Grayson Allen. Ja Morant is already special, but seems to struggle against De’Aaron Fox. Fox missed last night’s game against the Thunder, but hopefully that was so he could be healthy enough to play tonight. The Kings have an opportunity.
Between the injuries the Grizzlies are dealing with, the path the Kings need to take to pass 4 other teams, and the dwindling number of games remaining, this win is crucial. If the Kings don’t step up, the hope of the past week will quickly fade.
Prediction:
The Kings come out firing on all cylinders. Kings 121, Grizzlies 102
