There’s something great about New Year’s resolutions. Sure, it’s an arbitrary date to make changes in your life, but there’s value in self assessment and attempts at self improvement. I love the idea of trying to be better, in ways big or small, than you were the year before. It’s just another day and a new calendar, but humans love the idea that we can always turn it around and that maybe this year things will be better.
Hey speaking of things that need to be better, let’s talk Kings basketball!

For Your Consideration
The Sacramento Kings haven’t won a game since December 15th. They’ve lost 8 straight games, including a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies along the way. The Grizzlies visit the Kings today and we’ll hope Memphis is still suffering the lingering effects of their midnight champagne.
The marquee matchup is De’Aaron Fox versus Ja Morant. Two young, exciting, explosive point guards. One of them is on a team that plays fast and utilizes his speed, though.
Final prediction: The Kings uphold their New Years resolutions for at least 48 hours, play fast, pass the ball, make open shots, and make us all believe that in a new year anything is possible.
Kings 114, Grizzlies 106
