None of the prospects in attendance for todays workout, or any of the prospects schedule to workout tomorrow, should be considered as legitimate options for the Kings' 8th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

We've reached the point in the pre-draft process where a healthy portion of the players the Kings are bringing in rank somewhere inside of Chad Ford's top-100, so I'm not sure if that exercise is still important, and that's after assuming it was ever important, which is a fair consideration. Players like Elgin Cook, Isaiah Taylor, and Jarron Uthoff have a good chance of hearing their names called on draft night, but if you're frustrated by the level of prospects the Kings have been able to bring to Sacramento thus far, you have every right to be.

Yes, the pre-draft waters are murkier than ever. Yes, every team is having some trouble bringing in every prospect they'd like to see, but there is more going on here. It's speculation on my part, of course, but those little rumors we've heard about agents trying to steer their clients away from Sacramento? Well, some of that seems to be having a tangible impact on the Kings' ability to bring some, or any top-20 guys in. They're barely hitting the first round.

If Vlade Divac is using that same logic this year, and I'm not trying to suggest he is, because the Kings have had a harder time getting anyone in Sacramento this year than any team in any year I can remember, Divac won't have a very rich prospect pool to choose from. You're looking at Wade Baldwin and nobody else.

Alas, there is still time. We'll see what happens.
