We are all missing basketball right now with the COVID-19 outbreak putting the sports world on hold, but we will have a virtual option tonight.

The NBA2K league kicks off today and the Kings Guard Gaming team takes on the Warriors Gaming Squad. You can watch the game on ESPN2 at 6 p.m.

This is the first time in history that the NBA2K League will be featured on linear TV. You can also stream the matchup on Twitch here and on Youtube.

Kings Guard Gaming’s XBOX squad made the final of the recent NBA 2KL Three for all Showdown, losing to the Blazer5 Gaming.

The giant network will air games on Tuesdays ESPN2 through May 19, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday matchups being shown on ESPN and ESPN.com at on the ESPN app and ESPN.com beginning May 6 and throughout the season. Broadcasts will begin at 4 P.M. PT.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver and other league officials are reportedly committed to finishing out the 2019-20 season, even if it means delaying the start of next season until December.

In the meantime, the NBA2K League provides an entertainment alternative. The NBA2K tournament featuring NBA players had its moments, which is more than what I can say about the HORSE competition.

Do you plan on watching any of the NBA2K League games?
