Basketball is coming early this year! Thanks to the new season start date of Oct. 17th, preseason will begin for the Kings on October 2nd. The Kings announced their full preseason slate today, and it includes two home games (which are in bold below).
Oct. 2nd vs. the San Antonio Spurs
Oct. 6th at the San Antonio Spurs
Oct. 8th vs. the L.A. Lakers (Las Vegas, NV)
Oct. 9th vs. the Portland Trail Blazers
Oct. 12th at the L.A. Clippers
Oct. 13th at the Golden State Warriors
We didn’t get a Fox vs. Ball matchup in Vegas this summer, but we might get one on Oct. 8th when the two teams meet for their annual exhibition in the desert. Please turn your attention to the mandatory Beno Udrih highlight:
That always hits the spot.
The Kings aren’t playing any international teams this year as they did last year, and they also aren’t playing in any non-NBA cities aside from Vegas.
Preseason basketball for some reason is usually not televised, and I hope that’s not the case this year. After all if we can get all of summer league on TV, surely we can get preseason too. That being said, I can’t wait to be back in the Golden 1 Center to see the new guys in person.
Basketball is officially back in 74 days. Begin the countdown.
