Kings 106, Pistons 100: Kings overcome a big early deficit

The Kings trailed big but came back for the win.

The Sacramento Kings came out flat against the Detroit Pistons, trailing 21-6 at one point in the first quarter. The Kings clawed their way back in the second quarter, and secured the 106-100 victory in a back and forth second half.

Harry Giles was huge in the Kings comeback, energizing his team and the crowd with hustle plays, big rebounds, and the passion that’s made him a fan favorite. Giles finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds, a steal and a block.

Alex Len has another huge game for the Kings, particularly in the third quarter where he had some tremendous defensive plays. Len finished with 8 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

De'Aaron Fox finished with a team-high 23 points to go with 7 assists. Buddy Hield had 19 points off the bench, but was just 3 for 11 from beyond the arc. Bjelica also struggled from behind the line, going 1 for 6.

It wasn’t the prettiest game this season, but the Kings will take any win they can get right now.
