It is finally over Kings fans! The Sacramento Kings finally snapped out of an eight-game losing streak as they defeated the Orlando Magic on the road off a back-to-back with the score at 105-99.

The Kings trailed at halftime 52-53 and had a rough third quarter where the game could’ve gotten out of hand but the Kings showed their toughness and finished off the game with an 11-0 run (not counting that Elfrid Payton layup at the end).

Best Performers

Garrett Temple: OMG, unbelievable, amazing, whatever you want to call it, Garrett Temple came to ball today. Clearly a spark off the bench, he came in and put up a career high of 34 points on 14/17 shooting (4/7 from three) and going 2/2 from the free throw line. Temple also registered five assists and two rebounds. Simply put, without Temple, the Kings lose nine straight. 17 of Temple’s points came in the fourth quarter alone.

Willie Cauley-Stein: After having a disappointing outing last night against Dwight Howard and the Charlotte Hornets, Willey Cauley-Stein came alive from the moment the game started. He owned the first quarter with nine points and ended the game with 21 points on 9/18 shooting and making three free throws on four attempts. Not to forget, he added four assists, nine rebounds, one steal and five blocks. An overall fantastic effort from Willie and he blessed us after yesterday’s game.

Skal Labissiere: Still bugging me that he only played 22 minutes and shot five times overall, Labissiere had himself a solid game as well. He played great yesterday and had a nice effort again today. He had 10 points on 3/5 shooting and 4/5 free throws along with three assists, nine rebounds and three blocks. Skal and Willie should be the starting duo going forward, don’t ya think?

Buddy Hield: An injury hindered him late in the game, but Buddy Hield came out and had another nice performance off the bench. He scored 13 points on 5/10 shooting while having two assists, five rebounds, one block and four steals. He made errors on defense but offense is his strong suit.

Notable Stats

Vince Carter started the game and played 29 minutes and while his shooting was not good today (1/7 overall, 0/4 from deep) but his six assists was key. The one-handed pass that led to the Temple three late in the fourth was special, along with his dunk over Aaron Gordon.

Justin Jackson played 24 minutes and saw increased playing time when Hield went out with an injury. He finished the game with eight rebounds and found a way to help the team.

The Kings out-rebounded the Magic 44-40, out-assisted them 24-23, out-blocked them 11-4, were tied with steals (9-9), and had less turnovers and fouls.

The Kings also shot 49% from the floor on 43/87 shooting, 8/26 from deep.
