If you thought the Kings trading out Patrick Patterson meant that Jason Thompson would be safe as the team's starting power forward for the foreseeable future, think again. ESPN's Marc Stein reports that the Kings will still look to unload J.T. as the massive rebuild continues.
That would seem to confirm that the Kings intend to play Rudy Gay and Derrick Williams together in the forward slots next to DeMarcus Cousins. As I wrote on Sunday, that still leaves quite a few minutes at power forward for Thompson and no other true power forward on the roster.
