In a huge blow to the already-hurting Sacramento Kings, guard Garrett Temple will be out 2-3 weeks after suffering a partial tear of his hamstring in Tuesday’s loss to the Houston Rockets. The injury was initially reported as a sprain, but an MRI on Wednesday confirmed the tear.

Temple said last night he was out 4 weeks with the same injury a couple seasons ago.

The Kings were already thin on the wing due to injuries. Rudy Gay tore his achilles and will be out the remainder of the season. Omri Casspi has also been dealing with a hamstring injury, and has no concrete timetable for his return.
For now, assume Matt Barnes is in the starting lineup and the reserve wins are Malachi Richardson and Ben McLemore.

So, uh, who’s ready for more Matt Barnes?
