The National Basketball Players Association held their annual NBA representative summer meeting Friday, which is only newsworthy in Sacramento because veteran Kings guard Garrett Temple was elected to a three-year term as one of the NBPA’s Vice President’s.
Temple joins the NBPA staff of Chris Paul (President), LeBron James (First Vice President), James Jones (Secretary-Treasurer), Carmelo Anthony, Stephen Curry, Pau Gasol, Andre Iguodala and Anthony Tolliver (Vice Presidents).
Garrett Temple talked about his new role here:

I don’t have to convince anyone in Sacramento that Temple is a worthy VP for the NBPA. I feel pretty confident in saying that he’s one of the better off-court Kings in Sacramento history, and you can tell by listening to his interview above that he has a passion for the position. They couldn’t have elected a better guy.
Congratulations, Garrett!
