Despite a unanimous vote by the NBA's relocation committee to recommend rejection of the proposed Kings' move to Seattle on Monday, Chris Hansen and Steve Ballmer apparently are devoted to seeing this all of the way through to the full NBA Board of Governors' vote on May 15.

Hansen released this statement on his website late Monday.

Then he — no joke, this is not a joke — quoted Muhammad Ali. The unforgettable "impossible is nothing" quote. I wish I were making this up. Not sure many Very Rich hedge fund investors get opportunities to drop Ali quotes too often, so might as well take the opportunity.

More power to them. Hansen has put a lot of dough on this deal, and there isn't an obvious relocation option. Despite total rejection of his plan by seven of the 30 NBA owners, he might as well see it through.
