It's on baby!
The 2005-06 season is ready to kick off, as the Kings are in (ahem) Oklahoma City (cough) to take on the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets.
Under normal circumstances, this is an easy win for Les Rois, with or without an "identity." But the first home game in OKC for the Hornets on the first night of the season following the most horrible tragedy in the nation's history is not normal circumstances.
A loss would be disappointing, but it could happen. A win is status quo, unless the Kings win by something ridiculous and look great.
The Kings are 8.5 point road favorites, and the over/under is at 192 (note: we'll be using lines from Bodog all season).
Your projected starting lineups:
NOOCH!:
PG – Chris Paul
SG – J.R. Smith
SF – Desmond Mason
PF – David West
C – P.J. Brown
SACRAMENTO:
PG – Mike Bibby
SG – Bonzi Wells
SF – Peja Stojakovic
PF – Shareef Abdur-Rahim
C – Brad Miller
I predict a solid win. If Sac loses, it's going to be a loooong two-week stretch.
Remember, 5 p.m. Pacific on Comcast Sports Net and Sports 1140 AM.
LET'S GO KINGS!
(Also, is anyone else exhausted after reading the Bee's Kings preview? Holy god.)
