Despite the additions of Spencer Hawes (via draft) and Mikki Moore (via free agency), Justin Williams looks like he will once again play a role on the Kings for the 2007-08 campaign, after signing a one year deal Tuesday.
Appearing in only 26 games for the Kings in the 2006-07 season, Williams averaged 5 points, 4.4 boards and .6 blocks, but didn't get as much playing time as many of us hoped he would. On a "Per 40 minutes played" basis, Williams tracked out to 15.7 PPG, on par with contemporaries Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Ronnie Price, and led the Kings both with 13.8 Rebounds and 1.9 blocks.
Though contract terms haven't yet leaked, there's no doubt J-Will 2 comes cheap. He clocked in at just over $250k last season.
