The 2015 NBA Draft is just under a month away and as such the Kings are starting to ramp up their preparation, beginning this Friday with their first NBA Draft Workout. Sacramento's first workout won't feature any big names, but fans of local hoops will be sure to recognize UC Davis' Corey Hawkins and Sacramento State's Mikh McKinney among the prospects invited to participate.
Along with Hawkins and McKinney, the Kings will workout UC Santa Barbara's Alan Williams, Arizona State's Shaquielle McKissic, Tennessee Tech's Charles Jackson (another Sacramento native), and UC Irvine's Will Davis II.
There's a high probability that none of these players get drafted next month, but the Kings are still doing their due diligence, especially since they are one of the NBA teams with a solo-relationship with their D-League affiliate. Hawkins and Williams are the only prospects invited that are among DraftExpress's Top 100 (Williams at 61 and Hawkins at 100).
