The Kings will be holding their second pre-draft workout this Thursday with a focus on big men. Like the first workout, none of the players involved project to be drafted, but one player in particular offers some intrigue. That player is the 7'2 Satnam Singh of India. Joining Singh for the workout are California's David Kravish and Stanford's Stefan Nastic.
Singh is intriguing both because of his size and the fact that he reportedly possesses a very nice shooting touch. From DraftExpress:
The Kings famously made Sim Bhullar the first player of Indian descent to play in the NBA last season, with Bhullar spending most of the season in Reno with Sacramento's D-League affiliate. Singh is another candidate for the Kings to potentially look at this summer and stash away in Reno if he goes undrafted. Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé has said he wants to make the Kings a global brand, particularly in India, so it wouldn't surprise me if we see Singh wearing a Bighorns jersey later this year. However, Singh is talented and young enough that it's very possible he could get drafted late in the second round thanks to his potential.
Definitely a name to keep an eye on.
