The Sacramento Kings continue to ramp up preparation for the 2013 NBA Draft with more workouts. Today, probable lottery pick Trey Burke came in for a solo workout.
Just from that video, it looks like Coach Malone is probably one of the better defenders and screen setters on the team already.
Tomorrow will see a couple more workouts, with guards featured heavily. The two most prominent names in attendance will be Syracuse's Michael Carter-Williams and Lehigh's C.J. McCollum. Carter-Williams is a tall 6'6 PG with fantastic physical gifts and playmaking ability and McCollum is a lights out scorer. I do like the fact that both players will be going up against each other in a competitive environment. That's always more fun than a solo workout. I could definitely see both these players as guys the Kings could potentially take with the 7th pick.
Joining MCW and McCollum in the first workout are Solomon Hill (Arizona), Elijah Johnson (Kansas), Peyton Siva (Louisville) and Tony Snell (New Mexico).
The second workout in the afternoon includes Tyler Brown (Illinois State), James Ennis (Long Beach State), Abdul Gaddy (Washington), Mark Lyons (Arizona), D.J. Stephens (Memphis), Scott Wood (North Carolina State).
